COVID-19

In the current climate of COVID-19, we have made the difficult decision to postpone Aspects Art Show to a date yet to be determined.⠀

This comes in response to the Prime Minister and Council of Australian Government's direction that any organised mass gathering over 500 people should be cancelled.⠀

Our art show, originally scheduled for 30 April – 2 May, is part of the annual Goondiwindi Show, which as a result of the coronavirus, will also be postponed.⠀

This has not been an easy decision. We are aware that this event is a highly anticipated meet on social calendars and offers benefits to our rural community far beyond the event itself.⠀
⠀ ⠀
However, the safety and well-being of our community is of the greatest importance to us and while we are disappointed, we believe this is the best course of action at this point in time. We feel a strong sense of social responsibility to minimise the spread of this virus in our community.⠀
⠀ ⠀
Our hearts and thoughts go out to the people who have been affected by this unprecedented event and we appreciate all those around the world who are on the front line working to contain the Coronavirus.⠀
⠀ ⠀
To all of our artists who have already submitted entries and paid fees, we will be in touch with you.⠀ ⠀

Our committee [made up solely of volunteers] is working through the necessary arrangements given the change of circumstance. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate the logistics and steps we need to take to deliver the best possible outcome for all involved. ⠀
⠀ ⠀
As a committee, we’d like to say thank you to our community of artists, sponsors, aquisitors, guest judge @michaelreidart, art lovers and all of the people who have been working behind the scenes in the lead up to our event at 2020. ⠀

We hope to have a new date for Aspects Art Show to you soon.⠀
⠀ ⠀
How lucky we are to have such an incredibly supportive community behind us.⠀
